NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS CALLING FOR BIDS

Notice is hereby given that bids will be received by RSH Construction, Inc. via email ( or ) or via fax (805-466-6294) no

later than:

Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at 10:00 am for the SBUSD Food Services Freezer & Kitchen MODs Project

(“Project”).

A non-mandatory job walk will be conducted on Friday, May 9, 2025 beginning at 9:00 am. The job walk

will visit 3 school sites and is expected to take approximately 2 hours. The first site will be Dos Pueblos

High School. Meet at the front of the school by the flagpole, 7266 Alameda Ave, Goleta, CA 93117

The project description is as follows: New freezers, coolers and kitchen modernization at 3 campuses.

As a condition of bidding as a first-tier mechanical, electrical and plumbing subcontractor on this project,

and in accordance with the provisions of Public Contract Code section 20111.5 and 20111.6 and Education Code Section 17406, all MEP subcontractors must be prequalified with Santa Barbara Unified School District.

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 1773 and 1773.2 of the Labor Code of the State of California, the District has obtained from the Director of Industrial Relations, the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and the general prevailing rate for holiday and overtime work in the locality in which the work is to be performed for each craft, classification or type of workman needed to execute the contract. It shall be mandatory upon the contractor to whom the contract is awarded, to pay not less than the said

specified rates to all workmen employed by them in the execution of the contract, and to comply with the prevailing wage requirements set forth in the Labor Code.

Pursuant to the provisions in Section 1771.1 of the Labor Code of the State of California, a contractor shall not be qualified to bid or engage in the performance of any contract for this project unless; (1) currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5; or (2) expressly is authorized to submit a bid by Section 1771.1 and provided the contractor is registered to perform public work pursuant to section 1725.5 at the time the contract is awarded.

Pursuant to provisions to Education Code 17407.5 and Public Contract Code 2600-2602, this project is

subject to Skilled and Trained Workforce compliance.

This project is subject to the compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations.
