MOVE Santa Barbara County is seeking a visionary Executive Director to lead our work promoting walking, biking, and public transit across the county. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of sustainable, equitable transportation and guide a dynamic nonprofit with a $1.1M budget, ~20 staff, and 100+ volunteers.

What you’ll do:

✔ Lead strategy, staff, and programs (education, advocacy, and Bici Centro community bike shops)

✔ Build partnerships with funders, community leaders, and government agencies

✔ Drive fundraising and revenue growth to expand MOVE’s impact

✔ Serve as the voice for active transportation in Santa Barbara County

We’re looking for:

🌟 A collaborative, equity-driven leader with 5–7+ years of nonprofit leadership

🌟 Proven success in fundraising, staff management, and strategic planning

🌟 Passion for sustainable transportation and community engagement

💵 Salary: $110,000–$125,000 + benefits

📍 Based in Santa Barbara or Santa Maria, with travel across the county
